Stephanie Commens riding Belcam CD leads the CCN2* at the National Luxury Homes CCN One Day Event presented by the Tamborine Equestrian Group in Queensland after Saturday’s dressage and showjumping.
Stephanie led after the dressage on a score of 26.8 but an additional four penalties one rail dropped on the big sand show jumping arena at Kelecyn means that she has now has very little wiggle room heading into today’s cross country, with Madison Gunther hot on her heels riding Delarno NPE on a score of 30.9
Those avidly following the 2023 FEI WBFSH World Breeding Eventing Championships for Young Horses at Le Mondial du Lion, France this weekend might also be interested to see various Cil Dara stud horses competing here at Kelecyn in Tamborine, including two in this class.
Bella English’s family stud is of course local to this event and there is another connection to the event happening at Le Lion, with the venue for this week being the family property of Kevin McNab (it’s a small world!)
Andrew Cooper is the only competitor contesting the CCI4* here so he is of course leading on board his ride Hey Arnold while Mattea Davidson leads the CCN3* on board Capriati D.
The biggest class here this weekend is the EvA95 (inc. Juniors), currently led by Zoe Dark riding Bonza Dreamtime with a score of 30.1 but again it is a close thing after dressage and showjumping with Jenna Champion riding Belrock Vienna close behind on 31. And there are an ‘Elysian Fields’ horse doing well in this class too with Elysian Fields Prima in fifth place ridden by Hayley Horsman!
