Tamworth Eventing CCN 2026 preview

An Eventful Life is filming all competitors at Tamworth Eventing CCN - order or view cross country videos here

While last year’s July fixture at Tamworth Eventing was cancelled due to cyclone impacts on the area, this year the weather is looking beautifully settled – although its going to be a touch nippy during the nights when horses and riders will both need to be rugged up!

Classes from EvA50 up to CCN4* are being run at the purpose-built Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre in Tamworth with all classes doing dressage on Saturday and most also showjumping (except EvA80, 95 and CCN1*) on the same day. The EvA80 and 95 classes will head out on cross country on Saturday with all other classes doing the fun stuff on Sunday.

It’s an all-female line-up in the Brittany Grovenor Photography CCN4*-S with Gemma Tinney, Catie Herbert, Emma Mason, Charlotte Lalak, Liv Shore and Jess Somerfield going to head. Liv Shore is riding Eliva Castana in this class, but she also has a very interesting new ride in the Stance Equitec CCN2*-S with the past Oliver Townend ride (and more recently ridden by Lizzie Baugh), En Taro Des Vernier, by Upsilon, popping up on the start list! Very exciting!

Also lovely to see on a start list again is Dotti, the lovely chestnut mare we last saw at Millstreet 2023. Ridden by Shane Rose on that occasion (a very important one where Australia gained qualification for Paris 2024), Shenae Lowings takes over the reins again on Dotti this weekend and Shenae also has Wollombi Baxter and Sandhills Shiver in the 2* class while Shane will be riding Diva Royale and Gleneagles in the 2* and Cooley All Over in the 3*.

We’ll be filming all riders on cross country (and don’t forget you can now also buy the full reel of your ride too!) and updating you each day from sunny Tamworth!
