Shane Rose’s talented mare Easy Turn (aka Tina) may have had some time off, but she has lost none of her ability in the dressage arena, coming back to competition to lead the CCN4*-S at the REC Equine Specialists Sydney Eventing Autumn Classic 2025 today.
Shane and Easy Turn led the dressage on a score of 31.10 ahead of Oliver Barrett riding Sandhills Briar (32.9) and Liv Shore riding Eliva Castana (35.8) and all three held their placings with clear rounds in the showjumping. Shane had already said he wouldn’t be taking Tina cross country so now the door is open for the two young riders on Sunday.
Another horse returning from time off after injury, Hazel Shannon’s Willingapark Chelsea also showed she hasn’t lost her edge, leading the Horseland Dural CCN3*-S on a very good score of 24 ahead of Andrew Barnett riding Oscar Park Deluge (25.6) and Emma Mason riding Warrego Marco Polo (27.10) after dressage and showjumping.
While her husband leads the 4*, Niki Rose dominates the REC Equine Specialists CCN2*-S with Cooley All Over leading the class and Limitless Lodge Zsa Zsa in third and Judy Clarke riding Oaks Quasimodo splitting the pair.
We’ll be back with more tomorrow and full report next week!
