Christine Bates and Bloomfield Findon only stepped up to 4* level last year, but they have now taken their first CCI4* win.
The experienced Christine and her nine-year-old Bloomfield Findon started in second place after Saturday's dressage but took the win after a cross country day that saw no-one finish inside the time on a course that challenged several combinations.
It was a close thing with Jess Rae and Chloe finishing second on a score of 55.5, just 0.4 penalties behind Christine while Charlie Richardson and Remington Hill finished in third place (64.4)
There was also a changes in leader for the Bundella Station CCI3*-S with India's Shashank Singh Kataria continuing his winning form on Icaro LB and Charlie Richardson taking the Quirindi Plumbing CCI2*-S on board Finch Farm Corey K.
More to come in our full wrap up but first congratulations to all the winners!
