Congratulations to Shenae Lowings and Sam Woods, two of Australia’s top eventing riders, who have announced their engagement on social media.
Shenae and her off the track thoroughbred Bold Venture competed for Australia at the 2022 World Championships in Pratoni and had their first Olympic experience at Paris 2024 when, as travelling reserve, they were substituted in for the final showjumping phase. In 2025, they racked up several 4* wins and Sam also finished last year on a high note, winning the CCI4*-S at Sydney International on SS Eight Count.
The couple, that met at eventing competitions and then worked together at Shane and Niki Rose’s Bimbadeen Park, now run their own business focussed on the breaking and training of thoroughbreds, known as Woodlow Equine.
