Equestrian Australia avoids liquidation

 

 

The Special General Meeting of Equestrian Australia took place on September 15th to determine the future of Australia’s governing body for the sport

Equestrian NSW, Equestrian Victoria, Equestrian Tasmania, Equestrian South Australia and Equestrian Western Australia have made the following statement on social media

“(We are) pleased to advise that this afternoon, 15 September 2020, at a Special General Meeting of Equestrian Australia (EA), the State Branches voted to accept the proposed amendments to the Equestrian Australia (EA) Constitution.

“As a result the Administrators Deed of Company Arrangement (DOCA) has been satisfied and EA will not be put into liquidation.

“(We look) forward to working with our members, the National Discipline Committees and the Interim EA Board in progressing the next stage of EA’s Governance Reform.”

The nominations committee is expected to appoint the new interim EA board within 45 days
