While the recent Sydney International Three Day Event was very unlucky with the weather conditions, Equestriad at Camden, just 40 minutes down the road has struck it lucky with perfect blue skies framing the autumnal trees at Bicentennial Park for this weekend’s event

It was the perfect day for eventing and competitors from EvA60 to CCN4* were making the most of it in the dressage rings, on cross country and in the show jumping arenas.

After today’s dressage, the CCN4*-S is currently led by Samuel Fasher and Sulitanos on a score of 27.2 ahead of Heath Ryan riding Bronze Boy R (28.4) and the second combination into the arena today, Jess Rae riding Rascal (28.6) in third place.

    Shane Rose and Stakkino

Shane Rose was the first and last competitor into the CCN3*-S arena and his two horses take first and second places in this class. He leads on Stakkino, who was the last horse to go but still happily did his test without another horse in sight in the large paddock arena, finishing on a score of 30, only just ahead of the Shane’s chestnut Duke of Sussex on 30.3

The only Junior rider in the class, Oliver Barrett holds third place riding Sandhills Special (31.7)

While the 4* and 3* only did their dressage today, the CCN2* class also completed show jumping with New Zealand’s Maddy Crowe leading the way after both phases. Maddy and Waitangi Pinterest rolled one pole in the show jumping but they had a good start in the dressage and still lead on 30.8 ahead of Charlotte Lalak riding Legolas KPH (33.8) and Zoe Hutchinson riding Wanda (34), who both jumped clear

The CCN1* Divisions took to the cross country track in the afternoon with just their show jumping to go tomorrow. New Zealand’s Clarke Johnstone and Domasco led the CCN1*A after dressage but had a steady run on cross country (watch them below) to drop to third while Blair Richardson riding Another Night and Kim Leibowitz riding Cil Dara Herald both produced double clear cross country rides for first and second places currently

   Maya Basson and Monte Argo

Results after cross country were not available at the time of writing for the CCN1*B but the class was led by Junior rider Maya Basson riding Monte Argo after dressage

We'll be back with a quick update tomorrow, a full wrap up report next week and don't forget to stay tuned to our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for video snippets and more during the weekend .....
