Shane Rose led from whoa to go at TRM Equestriad to win the CCI4*-S, adding the new category to his list of wins at Camden Bicentennial Park over the past few years

Shane had three horses in this class but it was Virgil that took the win on a score of 26.80, adding just 0.4 cross country time penalties to their dressage score. They finished over 10 penalties ahead of Hazel Shannon and Willinga Park Clifford in second place on 37.90 despite a clear show jumping round and just 3.6 time penalties on cross country, to move up from 11th after the dressage

Shane also took third place on Ultimate Velocity, another horse to make a big jump up the leader board, moving from 15th place after the dressage to finish on 40.50. It was a tough course that claimed a few scalps including Shane’s third ride, the less experienced Easy Turn who he opted to retire on course at Fence 22 and another young up and coming horse, Stuart Tinney’s Celebration who was in second place after the first two phases.

Celebration picked up 20 penalties at Fence 12, one of three jumping efforts in the main arena that caused problems for a few riders.  Stuart had already successfully ridden it twice on Leporis and Wanda but Celebration picked up 20 penalties and dropped out of contention
