There are three new additions to the stable at Tinney Eventing in 2026 with 'Blacklist' 'Thunderforce' and ‘Dexter Extreme' being added to the team.
While previous additions have come from overseas, these three are local with two from Australia and one from New Zealand.
“We were lucky to find 'Blacklist' and 'Dexter Extreme' - both quality with lovely brains” says Karen Tinney in their latest update. “'Thunder' was an impulse buy – we just took a liking to this thoroughbred and so far, so good!”
Added to the fun is that, while daughter Gemma may be the one we see competing most, older daughter Jaymee is making a comeback.
“What is great, is that Jaymee has made a comeback! She’s riding when her busy life allows her to and we all had a great weekend at the Camden Hunter Trials on 15th February. We took the babies plus Gemma rode super show-jump rounds (1.25/1.30m) on Ash (Fernhill Aisling Star). We were joined by Kerry Blair, our part owner of 'Blacklist' (Jimmy) coming to support the rest of us!”
And while Stuart was in Western Australia, coaching a High-Performance squad session, he did join the family the weekend before, competing in the 1.05m and 1.10m at a local showjumping day.
Gemma also joined in the ‘dress up’ fun at the Wallaby Hill Extravaganza, finishing second in the 1.30m showjumping on PHS Hilton and in the top 10 of the popular fancy dress competition in the Eventers vs Showjumpers on Fernhill Aisling Star.
“All the new horses have been on outings over the past few weeks, and they have all been so well behaved and fun! What is very exciting is that Jaymee has taken to 'Thunder' now jumping 80cm and both are entered for their first event in 12+ years!”

March 28th/29th Tamworth International: Gemme on Aisling Star, PHS Hilton 3* Dexter Extreme 95cm.
April 18th/19th Adelaide Equestrian Festival: Gemma riding Aisling Star 3* & PHS Hilton 4*
