“He came out today like a box of fluffy ducks!” Abby Lawrence’s 11-year-old chestnut gelding Anonymous was in fine form for the final phase of the Auckland Council CCI2* and indeed looked to be full of energy as he showed some fancy moves on starting his victory lap (watch the video below)
Abby and Anonymous moved into lead after the cross country phase but had only 1.6 penalties in hand over Sam Felton riding Ricker Ridge Riley; Sam piled the pressure on by jumping a clear round but Abby kept her cool and also jumped clear for their first CCI win at this level

Anonymous will now move up to 3* level after a Christmas break and Abby’s plans will hopefully include a 4* start in Adelaide in the future, but in the meantime a spot of the New Zealand team for the Oceania Challenge in very much in focus
