Three of Shane Rose’s top horses have been sold overseas with Bimbadeen Park saying on its social media that “It is always hard saying goodbye to special horses who have been a huge part of our lives for so many years. However, we are thrilled they have found great homes where they will be loved and thrive”
The star of the stable, Easy Turn, is heading back to Germany where Shane discovered her in 2017 as a raw five-year-old. But it soon became apparent that the mare by top showjumper Cassall, known as ‘Tina’ in the stable had plenty of talent in all phases. She consistently won at all levels as she moved up the grades, most recently winning the CCI4*-S at Adelaide Equestrian Festival before heading to Luhmuhlen in June where she finished just outside of the top 10 in the CCI4*-S. Easy Turn now remains in Europe, based at a professional yard in Germany but will compete under the Indian flag.
Bimbadeen Park has thanked Easy Turn’s co-owner and long-time supporter, Angela Shacklady, who has owned horses with Shane for over 28 years, including multiple horses ridden by Shane at World Championship and Olympic - It’s A Knockout (1998 World Championships), All Luck (2006 World Championship and part of the 2008 Silver Medal winning Olympic team at the Beijing Olympic Games).
“Angela's loyal and continued support has allowed Shane to access and retain quality horses that he could not financially afford on his own. Angela has directly contributed through her role as an owner to medal-winning results for Australia at the Olympic level. We would like to acknowledge and thank Angela for her support over so many years” says Bimbadeen Park.
Two other successful top horses – the 11-year-old Matrixx is heading to New Zealand while The Bandit, runner-up in the CCI5* at the 2025 Adelaide Equestrian Festival is already in the UK with his new owner/rider.
“The departure of these top-level horses leaves Shane with a smaller team of young horses who certainly have very big shoes to fill” says Bimbadeen Park “We look forward to following the progress and success of Matrixx, The Bandit and Easy Turn”.
