Riddells Creek Easter Pony Club and Open Horse Trials attracted quite a bit of attention from around the world on our social media when we posted a short video of something we’ve never seen before on a cross country course – a Corridor fence.

“We’ve had it for years” said Meaghan Sutherland  the event organiser “It’s a staple of the course!”

Ridden by riders in Grades 4, 5 and 6, the riders walked, trotted or cantered through the flagged ‘corridor’ which, as I mentioned on our social post, looked like something that would be jumped over at Burghley!

Some riders on social media thought it very scary and that their horses wouldn’t go near it but our winners in the Pony Club sections made light work of it in great style.

You can see the successful handling by PCV Grade 4 winner Michelle Woodcroft, PCV Grade 5 winner Hannah Creevy and PCV Grade 6 winner Grace Bradshaw in the above video and you can watch their full cross country rides here
