Badminton here we come!

This is our regular spot where we enjoy our beach gallops

Well, here I sit, downloading my favourite music and going through our final preparations before flying to England. This is it! No longer just a wild idea.

In less than 24 hours time we will be closing in on the airport with my equine partner in tow. After that, he and I get on to a 747 cargo plane. It has been an intense time already and we haven't even left the country.

Exploring and organising logistics, fundraiser competitions, functions, garage sales, quarantine at home for Ninja, etc.

This morning I took Ninja for our last gallop in Australia. He felt wonderful, and it is hard now to stay calm about what lies ahead of us over the next month.

I will stay with my brother Warren and his family while going through final preparations for Badminton in early May. Ten days after arrival my wife Jade, my children India and Noah, and our great friends and 'Official' grooms Liz and Sarah Brown will arrive together.  Also through the generosity and support of some special friends, our dressage coach Jo Brady is coming over as well.

The financial commitment for us is enormous and yet the challenge feels worth it no matter what.

I want to take this opportunity straight away to thank everyone who has played any role contributing to this happening. Your support has been overwhelming.

The dry hot ploughed track in the quarantine area made us appriciate our beach gallops even more

Talk to you soon
