Well I have made my way to Lastrup in Germany. This is the base of Gilbert Bockmann who is a show jump rider and also the Australian show jumping coach.
Yesterday we were traveling through the day and today I just worked very quietly. The weather is warm to very warm so early riding will be best.
The town is picturesque and quiet. I ride a bike about 3 kilometres down to the stables from where I am staying in the town. It is a huge operation with the arenas full for most of the day and a huge selection of young horses, stallions and everything else in between.
I will sign off for now In anticipation of a good week and a half leading up to Aachen.
