Truly surreal

Day 2 on site at Luhmuhlen in Germany. It wasn't as warm today, but still very pleasant.

I don't have a groom with me so it was feed, clean the stable and take Ninja for a graze. The graze turned into a march as happens with him. Next we were marching into the surrounding forests so that he could see as much as possible (such a tourist).

There are long tracks all around this beautiful facility which also has many arenas and working areas.

Next some breakfast and a ride. It was one of those where you check everything you have to, and realise that you are just happy with him so don't try to break records. Then a lovely ride out this afternoon along the tracks and through the forest.

I promise I am working. It is just that the weather and where I am are delightful. Add to that that basically I am so far from home and not where I thought I would be if you asked me 12 months ago, and it is truly surreal.

Tomorrow is trot up for the 4 star and I would imagine the CIC 3 star will be trotted out as well. We won't be competing until Thursday. Then a day off on Friday when the 4 Star dressage is on. Then Saturday and Sunday is cross country and show jumping.

Until next time,

Murray.
