Poor old (well, not so old - only 26!) Matthias Rath has been receiving hate mail for taking the ride on superstar horse Totilas from Edward Gal, according to Eurodressage. The very fancy launch of Totilas' new rider by the Schockemöhle stable is obviously the way to do things now so in future, whenever a top horse changes hands in Australia we need to hold a little "do" like this!
if anyone out there speaks German, could you let us in on the Press Conference chat. I'd love to know if Matthias is saying, "Well, I didn't want to ride him but they made me" or if Paul Schockemöhle is saying "Let's see if he can jump!" (wouldn't you love to know?). Quite a lot of talk to start with in the video then some nice footage - but maybe not the partnership there was with Edward? Time will tell.
Also, do you think the diamonds are real on the browband?
