FEI General Assembly

The 2013 FEI General Assembly is being held in Montreux, Switzerland from 4th -7th November. On 4 November, the FEI Bureau held an in-person meeting prior to the FEI General Assembly. The main decisions taken by the Bureau are outlined in full HERE

 

Points of interest for eventing are;

 

  • FEI Eventing Committee Marcin Konarski (POL) was appointed as the event organisers’ representative to replace outgoing member Robert Kellerhouse (USA) for a term of four years (2013-2017)

 

  • The Bureau approved the rules for the FEI Nations Cup™ Eventing 2014.The rules will be published on the FEI website HERE

 

  • The FEI Sports Forum 2014 will take place on 28 and 29 April at IMD business school in Lausanne (SUI). Event classification system for Jumping, FEI footing project, sustainability programme, FEI Online entry system, Endurance strategic plan, progress report on Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014, and a Vaulting round table will be on the Forum’s agenda.

 

  • The venues for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 FEI Championships & Finals were also allocated including FEI European Championship for Ponies (Jumping, Dressage & Eventing) Millstreet (IRL), July (16-20 July 2014)

 

  • The bid for the 2015 FEI European Championship for Ponies (Jumping, Dressage & Eventing) was re-opened.

The FEI General Assembly on Thursday, 7 November, will be broadcast live and free of charge on FEI TV, the FEI’s official online video platform, according to the following timetable:

• morning session 09.00-12.45 CET (local time in Switzerland, GMT+1)
• afternoon session 14.00-16.30 CET

Users who do not have an FEI TV login, must register to view the broadcast.

The FEI Awards Gala 2013, presented by Longines will take also place on 7 November at the Casino Barrière de Montreux. The annual FEI Awards reward outstanding individuals from the equestrian world in five categories: Longines Rising Star, Reem Acra Best Athlete, Development, Against All Odds and Best Groom.
