Following the call for Expressions of Interest for the FEI World Championships 2026 in October 2022, the FEI has now started the second phase of the official bid process with the publication of the Bid Guide

The 49-page FEI Bid Guide document contains an overview of all the requirements, rights and benefits associated with hosting the FEI World Championships 2026

The FEI will be accepting bids for hosting the FEI World Championships 2026 in one or more disciplines (Jumping, Dressage, Eventing, Driving, Endurance, Vaulting and Para Dressage) with preference given to multi-discipline bids although, ideally, the FEI would like to see FEI World Championships for Dressage and Para Dressage combined

Full bids for an FEI World Equestrian Games style event covering all disciplines will also be considered. From 1990 – 2018 the Championships were held under the World Equestrian Games flagship banner with the last World Equestrian Games held at Tryon, USA in 2018

The 2022 Championships were split between Herning (DEN), which hosted Dressage, Jumping, Vaulting and Para Dressage, and Pratoni (ITA), which hosted Eventing and Driving

“The flexible format proved extremely successful and conducive to delivering the highest event standards for each discipline” says the FEI Bid Guide

Applications must be submitted by 14th April 2023 with a final decision and announcement to be made by the FEI in early June
