Key items on the agenda for the 2025 FEI General Assembly, taking place in Hong Kong from 4th – 7th November, include qualification systems for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games and changes to Eventing Rules.
The second session on Thursday 6th November will be dedicated to presentations on the key proposed changes to the various Sports Rules, including Eventing, which this year are undergoing full revision.
Proposed changes for eventing include a reduction in penalties for a Missed Flag on cross country from 15 to nine penalties - you can view the proposed Eventing Rule changes here
The proposed final versions of the Qualification Systems for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Los Angeles 2028 will also be presented with the vote on the proposed modifications to take place during the General Assembly on Friday 7th November. Once approved by the General Assembly, the Olympic and Paralympic Qualification Systems will be sent to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC) for final review and approval.
The fourth session on Thursday 6th will focus on the FEI World Championships 2026 when representatives of the Organising Committees of the FEI World Championships 2026 in Aachen (GER) and AlUla (KSA) will update delegates on the events’ programme and status of preparations.
Birgit Rosenberg and Conny Mütze from the Aachen Organising Team will make a presentation on the event’s programme and status of preparations which will include the Eventing World Championship from 13th – 16th August 2026.
The Assembly will wrap up on Friday evening with a Gala Dinner when the 2025 FEI Awards will be presented.
