Reserve riders announced for Australian eventing team at WEG

Stuart Tinney and Pluto Mio are heading to the UK

National Eventing selectors have announced the three reserve combinations for Australia's eventing team for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games(WEG).

The following horse and rider combinations in alphabetical order are:

Natalie Blundell and Algebra

Andrew Hoy and Rutherglen

Stuart Tinney and Pluto Mio

In accordance with Australia’s WEG selection policy for eventing, reserves are not ranked. Should an occasion arise where a reserve is required, national selectors in conjunction with the national performance director will decide which combination is called upon.

The reserve combinations will attend the team’s pre-Games staging camp which is being held in the UK in the week preceding the Games.

Andrew Hoy and Rutherglen are permanently based in the UK and Natalie Blundell has been staying with Andrew since she headed over from Australia to compete at Badminton. Stuart Tinney will be leaving Australia for the UK in early August with John and Jane Pittard's Pluto Mio
