The FEI World Equestrian Games, created in 1990 are held every four years and are by far the largest equestrian event. In 2014, the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy will be host to 8 World Championships, one of which is Vaulting
Vaulting is practiced in teams or separately as individuals. Vaulters must perform a number of compulsory figures followed by a freestyle program with a musical accompaniment. The horse, guided by a longuer, gallops around a 15m wide circle. The horse is equipped with a surcingle with metal rings that act as points of support for performing figures.
The WEG competition involves Team and Individual Competitions
