And we’re back to it! The Capability Brown designed grounds of Aske Hall in North Yorkshire is where our cameras will be focussed on the cross country action in the UK this weekend

It seems a long time since we were all out on course, with Swalcliffe Park the last event we filmed at in the UK in early March. Since then the eventing world has been in lockdown but finally eventing resumes in both England and Australia with Aske Horse Trials, Barbury (full coverage coming up) and Denman Horse Trials in NSW, Australia, where we are also filming

The event at Aske Hall, run by BEDE Events, will take place Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July and, joy of joys, the weather is looking perfect with the possibility of some showers on Friday afternoon, just to make the going even more perfect!

Classes from BE90 to Open Intermediate will be run, with the Saracen Horse Feeds One2One Eventing series will be taking place in a BE90 section, which is designed for one-horse riders and several well-known names will be among the riders at all levels

Emily King, Nicola Wilson, Sam Ecroyd, Hayden Hankey, Polly Stockton and Susie Berry are among the ones to watch, not to mention the current World Champion, Ros Canter and China’s Alex Hua Tian adding an international flavour.

Ros on Izilot DHI, a horse she has told us is ‘the best I’ve ever ridden’ is certainly one to keep an eye on in the Intermediate while the Open Intermediate is packed with talent, including some 5* horses having a leg stretch; of particular interest is Ian Stark entered on Ben Hobday’s Harelaw Wizard, a horse that Ian bred
