Escape the winter at Warwick

Shane Rose and Shanghai Joe

Shane Rose is very excited by the prospects of Shanghai Joe by Another Warrior

The winner of the Warwick Horse Trials CIC3*, which takes place on 21st and 22nd June, will be taking away not only a cash prize but also a chance to breed a horse like Shane Rose’s Melbourne International Horse Trials CCI 3* winner Shanghai Joe

The Ace Earthworx International Horse Trials which takes place at Warwick in Queensland on 21st and 22nd June is offering classes from Pre Intro to CIC 3*. As well as the cash prizes to third place there is a special prize on offer for the winner of the CIC 3* class will also receive a stallion service to Another Warrior as part of their prize winnings.

Another Warrior, a thoroughbred that won Group races in the three eastern seaboard States of Australia, now stands as Bimbadeen Park and is the sire of Shane Rose’s up and coming star, Shanghai Joe.

The event is to be held at Morgan Park amidst 1000 acres of native Australian bushland that was left to the people of Warwick at the turn of the century. The Morgan Park equestrian facilities, now officially known as the State Equestrian Centre - Polocrosse and Eventing, offers accommodation (covered and uncovered) for 400 horses, full canteen and bar facilities, corporate entertaining area, floodlit arenas, huge playing fields, hot and cold showers, grandstands and lots of parking space. Added to this is the beautiful cross country course at the Horse Trials grounds, complete with over 100 jumps in an iconic bushland setting. Interestingly there is also a car race track on the Park which provides some interesting moments …….

Sounds like the perfect place to escape the southern Australian winter!
