Getting to know Nick Gauntlett

 

We were delighted to welcome on board a new blogger recently – British 4* eventer Nick Gauntlett.

Nick’s base at Chescombe Farm in South Gloucestershire, where he lives with his wife Amanda and young son Henry, provides the perfect spot for not only training his own horses but also has become the base for other international stars such as the USA’s Tiana Coudray and Astier Nicholas.

Nick is, as he says in this interview with Emily Penney, ‘desperate to get his flag’ as part of a British team and very nearly did in the CICO at Fontainebleau this year but he is also passionate about coaching. A BSHI and a BE accredited trainer he first came to our notice when he conducted some great sessions at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials as a part of the British Eventing Training programme and we’re hoping that he will make it down under later in the year to hold some clinics
