The renowned New Zealand course designer John Nicholson is to design this year’s course at Lakes & Craters CCI event in December
The Lakes & Craters end of year event, famous for its spectacular setting on the hilly terrain of the craters near Camperdown, Victoria, will take place from 1st – 4th December and will this year feature new courses by John Nicholson
In recent years a new water complex has been added to the venue which hosts the Camperdown Horse Trials and the Lakes & Craters events but no doubt John Nicholson will have something new and exciting up his sleeve
John, an FEI 3*/4* course designer and brother of 4* eventing rider Andrew Nicholson, is known for his unique and creative designs at events in New Zealand and around the world. His home event of Kihikihi features some of the most impressive fences seen on cross country courses and in 2015 he became the course designer for the Virginia Horse Trials, his first foray into the USA. In Australia he has recently been involved in the design of new courses in Western Australia for WAYER events
