FEI No. 1: The number one spot of the FEI top equestrian moments 2019 has gone to Ingrid Klimke
Ingrid and her horse SAP Hale Bob defended their title from Strzegom 2017 at the FEI European Eventing Championships in Luhmühlen, making her just the second rider to win back to back European Eventing Championships
Ingrid then went on to win the FEI Athlete of the Year at the 2019 FEI Awards
Two other eventing riders made it into the FEI Top 15 with Oliver Townend’s win (also back to back) at Kentucky CCI5* early in the season at Number 12.
Sir Mark Todd’s retirement from eventing was Number 13. After a career of 5 decades, the two-time Olympic champion went out on a high, as he helped team New Zealand to clinch Nations Cup victory on Irish soil
