The FEI Eventing World Championship Under 25 is getting closer to reality with the FEI inviting bids for the 2026 and 2027 Championships.

During the FEI Board Meeting on 16-17 June 2025, the Board agreed to the proposal by the FEI Eventing Committee to create a new FEI Championship - the FEI Eventing World Championship U25, as of 2026.

It is envisaged that the FEI Eventing World Championship U25, to be held each year at CCI4*-S level, will help bridge the gap between the Young Rider and Senior levels

Open to Under 25 FEI Registered Athletes from all nations, an Athlete can compete in the U25 category from the beginning of the calendar year in which the Athlete reaches the age of sixteen (16) until the end of the calendar year in which the Athlete reaches the age of twenty-five (25). Any Athlete who competes in the FEI U25 Eventing World Championship would not be allowed to compete in an FEI Senior, Young Riders or Junior Championship within the same year.

Although the creation of this Championship is still subject to approval of the proposed FEI Eventing Rules 2026 at the FEI General Assembly in November 2025, in the interest of time, the FEI has announced the launch of the bidding process for the 2026 and 2027 editions of this Championship.

The relevant bid application form is now available and can be downloaded by accessing the FEI Bidding Platform. Organising Committees and National Federations interested in hosting the FEI Eventing World Championship U25 in 2026 and/or 2027 are invited to download the application form, fill in all the information out and, once completed, submit it via the FEI Bidding Platform, together with any additional relevant documentation.

The Championship can be held as a standalone Championship, combined with an existing FEI Eventing Championship or with an existing CCI event.

The deadline to submit the bids is Friday, 29 August 2025. Further information can be found on the FEI Bidding Platform here
