There has been some movement across the sections of the FEI Eventing World Rankings following some big international competitions around the world. We take a look at who’s gone up, down and who is the new Australian Number One ranked rider.
FEI Eventing Senior World Rankings
The top six riders on the FEI Senior World Rankings remain the same as last month but there has been some re-shuffling.
Harry Meade remains in the top spot (521 points) but, without picking up points at Kentucky Three Day Event, he has allowed Tim Price to move two spots closer to knocking him off. Tim’s fourth place at the USA’s CCI5* has moved him from fourth to second (493 points) but Harry has three competing at Badminton 5* and Tim just one, so all to play for!
Laura Collett remains in third (469 points), Ros Canter has moved up one spot into fourth (453), Boyd Martin has slipped from second to fifth (431) and Tom McEwen remains in sixth (409).
The winners of the two CCI5* competitions in April have both moved up with Kentucky winner Will Coleman moving from 19th to 11th and Adelaide winner Oliver Barrett now in 39th place, becoming the highest ranked Australian rider as well as holding second place on the Under 25 World Rankings (see below).
Australia’s Andrew Cooper (44th) and Sam Jeffree (45th) have also both moved up into the top 50 thanks to good performances at Adelaide.
FEI Eventing Under 25 World Rankings
Germany’s Calvin Bockmann remains on top of the Under 25 Rankings on 276 points, but Australia’s Oliver Barrett has closed the gap, still in in second place but now on 230 points, thanks to his CCI5* win at the Adelaide Equestrian Festival in April.
Britain’s Alice Casburn also remains in third place, now on 202 points while Isabelle Cook picked up valuable points in the CCI4* classes at both Thoresby Park and Kentucky to jump from ninth to fourth place, pushing Verane Nicaud (FRA) down to fifth place.
Elizabeth Barrett has also moved down from sixth to ninth but there are four new entries into the top 10, including Australia’s Lamoza Velisha, now in 10th place (124 points) thanks to good results in the CCI3*-L at Adelaide and a 3*-S win at Wandin Park. Since then, Lamoza has also picked up her first CCI4* win at Ballarat International, which will be useful in next month’s rankings!
A 4* placing for Libussa Lubecke (GER) at Strzegom in April helped move her into the top six while Britain’s Jasmine Underwood and Godfrey Gibbons have also moved up into the top 10, now in seventh and eighth places.
FEI Eventing Young Rider World Rankings
Britain holds the top three spots in the Young Rider rankings with Isabelle Cook, Jasmine Underwood and Elizabeth Barratt on top of the leaderboard but again, Australia’s Lamoza Velisha has moved up into fourth place from just outside the top 10.
FEI Eventing Junior Rider Rankings
Britain’s Ella Howard retains the top spot on the Junior Rankings with 110 points, but New Zealand’s Tessa Bradcock has jumped up to fourth place (59 points) thanks to her sixth place in the CCI3*-L at Adelaide Equestrian Festival.
