Bates Saddles supports Blenheim Horse Trials

Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials

Australian company Bates Saddles will be supporting a new 'learning zone’ at the Fidelity Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials (12th-15th September) with demonstrations on their saddle fitting systems and naming rights for one of the famous three star cross country fences.

“We have introduced a ‘Learning Zone’ to complement our very popular Blenheim Attractions Arena” explains Event Director Mandy Hervieu, “As feedback from last year’s event was though the public enjoy the masterclasses and big displays, they would like more ‘up close and personal' opportunities where they can meet experts and ask questions so the Learning Zone and Attractions Arena offered Bates the perfect opportunity to demonstrate how saddles should be fitted to optimise your riding and show how easy their EASY- CHANGE Fit Solution really is”.

The Blenheim Learning Zone will have demonstrations on subjects such as clipping, thermal imaging, barefoot shoeing, equine dentistry, showing turnout  as well as opportunities to meet Vets, Riders, Farriers and other experts, with Q&A opportunities and lectures – there are even some dissection lectures for those with stronger stomachs!

Like the Blenheim Attractions Arena, the Learning Zone will have activities taking place throughout all four days of the event and is free to view. It offers visitors a great opportunity to get up close and personal, ask the experts questions, watch some interesting demos and lectures and meet some of the riders and officials.

In the UK Bates Saddles are distributed by Weatherbeeta (another good Aussie company) whose head office is located in Oxfordshire, close to Blenheim Palace which hosts the event.

“Blenheim is our local event” says Bates Product Manager Sian Davies, “and as the biggest Equestrian event in Oxford it is a great opportunity to support our eventing community”

Several well known Australian eventing riders are Bates Saddle Advocates including Stuart Tinney, Shane Rose and Craig Barrett - maybe Bates should fly them over to do some demos at Blenheim! An Eventful Life will be at Blenheim providing full coverage of the event and we'll certainly take a stroll around the new Learning Zone in September and report back.
