Four high profile Kiwi eventers have put their artistic skills on the line for The Great RDA Horse Doodle. The fun charity fundraising campaign for the New Zealand Riding for the Disabled (NZRDA) has asked 30 diverse and well-known New Zealanders to doodle their interpretation of a horse onto high quality canvas which are then auctioned off on Trade Me. 100% of the funds raised go towards the work of RDA in New Zealand and the successful bidders will be able to hang an original work of art by Sir Mark Todd, Andrew Nicholson, Jock Paget and Tim and Jonelle Price.

A doodle is of course ‘a rough drawing made absent-mindedly’ but we’re quite impressed by the results. We’d also love to know what a doodle psychologist would make of them; is it significant for example that both Jock and Andrew have included riders while the Price’s horse is shown on top of a podium and Sir Mark’s seems to be jumping over a long white cloud? They would certainly make a good talking point for any eventing fan and we would love to have any of them hanging in our home
All four works are now open to bids until December 8th on Trade Me - why not help the NZRDA and treat yourself or someone else for Christmas?
