Sir Mark Todd: Winter tips for managing horses

The World Horse Welfare Patron Sir Mark Todd recently chatted with the charity about how he keeps his horses fit and healthy over the long winter months.

Mark shared some of his top winter tips and explained how he manages his different horses, taking in account their age, current level of training and his future plans for them, when faced with cold, wet, short days.

He was joined by one of Wold Horse Welfare's Field Officers, Jon Phipps, who provided an insight into the types of welfare situations he’s likely to encounter during the winter months. Jon shared with us some ideas of how we, as owners, can make some simple changes to the way we manage our horses that can really make a big difference.
