Ian Stark keeps an eye on his course
It’s a heavy responsibility to design a course that will test the best but enable competitors from emerging countries to have a sporting chance. But if there is someone who can do that, it’s Ian Stark, a man who has won individual gold, individual silver and individual bronze, plus six team golds, at European Championships. In 2005 he designed the cross country course at Chatsworth which was the start of his new career in eventing and he now designs throughout Britain, Ireland and the USA
For Ian, this was a special treat to be designing a European Championship course in his homeland of Scotland and Debbie Higgs spoke to him at the end of a wet but successful day of cross country at Blair Castle
