Andrew Cooper heading to Adelaide

Andrew and Fairbanks Cappucino at Albury International

23 year old Andrew Cooper had had very good year so far in 2015 with plenty of wins and placings, including his recent win of the CIC2* at the NSW State Championships in Goulburn on Toronto and fourth on Fairbanks Cappucino

Toronto, an eight year old thoroughbred owned by Pip Hodson, started his international level eventing career this year with Andrew in the saddle and, although they only placed 18th at their first 1* at Tonimbuk, they have not been out of the top six since then with the win in Goulburn being Toronto’s first CIC2* competition

Fairbanks Cappucino, a nine year old bay warmblood mare owned and previously ridden by Sarah Tipping, has also had her fair share of success this year with a win at her first CIC2* start in August and fourth at Goulburn.

Both horses are now heading to compete in the CCI2* at the Australian International 3 Day Event where Andrew will be riding two horses, Evergem Perfection and Black Crest, in the CCI4*. They have also been consistently placing this year including a fourth and fifth in the CCI3* at the Melbourne International 3 Day Event in June

We talked to Andrew at the Eventing Victoria Spring Horse Trials where he had brought Toronto and Fairbanks Cappucino for a spin around the CNC2* course to just ensure they were ready for Adelaide
