Natalie Blundell's new team

Nat and Riverside Princess, seen here when second at Goulburn in the EvA95, was also second in the EvA95 at Wallaby Hill

We recently caught up with Natalie Blundell at Wallaby Hill where she had several rides including her own very pretty palomino Riverside Princess who finished second in the EvA95B. Nat has had great success with her palomino ‘ponies’ that have some great cross country genes and it looks as if this little mare is going to be another one

Although she doesn’t have any horses competing at 3*/4* level at the moment, Nat has picked up the ride on two 2* horses owned by Kylie Higginbotham who is having a baby – and Nat hopes she will be too busy to take them back in 2016!

Kylie’s 12 year old black thoroughbred Jetsetter (above) finished 10th in the CIC2* at Wallaby Hill and her 10 year old chestnut gelding SuperFreak (below) was sixth. Summer Rhythm, who Nat was riding in the EvA105, had a problem at the big new ditch which brought many unstuck but Nat blames herself saying “I just didn’t kick hard enough!”

These new horses on Nat’s team will hopefully be her stars of the future and we look forward to seeing them coming up through the ranks in 2016
