The Pittards have plenty of horse power

To be leading both the CCI4* and the CCI2* classes at the end of Australian International 3 Day Event cross country day was no mean feat.

Not only was it a great example of Stuart Tinney’s talent but it was also a huge thrill for the owners and breeders of both horses – John and Jane Pittard. The two horses in question, Pluto Mio and Annapurna are half-brother and sister, out of the same thoroughbred mare, Call of the Wild, but by different warmblood stallions, Daley K and Donnerblitz

There is also a full brother to Pluto Mio called Mio Jupiter, ridden to 1* level by Vaughan Ellis mentioned  in the interview below where Jane Pittard talks to John Lechner about how these talented siblings came about

As we know now, Annapurna finished second in the CCI2* and Pluto Mio fifth in the CCI4* but it was still a great weekend for Tinny Eventing and the Pittards. We caught up with Stuart just after his cross country ride on Annapurna and he was very happy with the young mare
