The crowds are treated to some traditional Spanish entertainment
The Madrid Horse Week took place just before Christmas and thousands of spectators were treated to a range of equestrian entertainment including a six bar class. Only two riders, Henk Van de Pol and Phillipe Rozier, managed to jump in the last round where the fences got up to 2.01m. Now if that doesnt inspire you to get outside and bring your horse back into work after his Christmas break nothing will.

And if the jumping wasn't enough there were a few good games of horseball to watch - this is a position you may have to adopt if your horse has enjoyed his Christmas break too much!
