Mary King injured at Salperton Park

Mary King

      Get well soon Mary

Emily Penney is at Salperton Park in Gloucestershire, UK this weekend for An Eventful Life and we’ll be getting her report shortly after the event but the latest news from there is that poor Mary King has taken a bad tumble.

Mary was riding her home bred King’s Temptress when she fell at Fence 19 on the Mike Etherington –Smith designed course. She was unconscious for a short while following the fall

Horse & Hound have reported that Mary has been taken to hospital with a broken nose and wrist – ouch. Another British rider, Francis Whittington was also taken to hospital after a fall but it seems that no great damage was done with Francis cheerily tweeting “broken, but will be back very, very soon”

In better news Australian rider Bill Levett won the Intermediate Section B riding Alexander NJ and we’ll wait to hear more about the weekend’s eventing at Salperton in Emily’s report
