The FEI has advised of a correction following the publication of the Olympic Rankings and the 17 Eventing Olympic Individual Qualification places allocated for Paris 2024 based on those Rankings as at 31st December 2023 (see the initial list here).

Of the 17 nations initially allocated places, three countries were allocated spots as the top three on the Olympic Rankings (list not including countries already qualified with teams). These were Spain, Finland and Denmark.

The FEI has issued a correction with the Czech Republic to now receive the third individual slot not Denmark as initially announced as there was a tie in the Rankings for that third NOC individual qualification slot between Mia Hastrup from Denmark and Miroslav Trunda from Czech Republic.

Both Athletes were ranked equal in their results as athlete/horse combinations which does not break the tie according to the Olympic Eventing Ranking Rules and therefore Article 528.1.6 Final Classification Tie (Individual) from the FEI Eventing Rules has been applied (the combination with the best cross country score at the highest level event would be ranked first and obtain the individual quota place for their NOC).

In accordance with Article 528.1.6 Final Classification Tie (Individual), Miroslav Trunda (CZE) riding Shutterflyke have obtained the best cross country score, and should therefore be ranked above Mia Hastrup (DEN) riding Constantin M in the Rankings, meaning that this Individual Quota place goes to Czech Republic and not Denmark.

However, Denmark will have a competitor at Paris 2024 as it has earned one Individual Quota place through the Olympic Group A Ranking.
