Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Ticketing

Paris 2024’s governing body has approved the outlined plan for its ticketing strategy, which will now be submitted for validation to the IOC and the IPC.

Nearly 10 million tickets for the Olympic Games and nearly 3.4 million for the Paralympic Games will be on sale with ticketing for the Olympic Games to begin in the first quarter of 2023, and purchasers able to sign up for the ticket draw from late 2022.

France has been waiting 100 years for the Olympic Games to return, says the promotional material for the Ticketing Programme, and the focus is firmly on fans being able to say “I was there”

The Paris 2024 organisers say they will be offering everyone the opportunity to get hold of a precious ticket, with a wide range of prices to suit all expectations.

80% of the 13.4 million tickets available for the Olympic and Paralympic Games will be sold via a new worldwide digital platform with a large number available at affordable prices

For the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (26th July – 11th August 2024), one million Olympic tickets will be available from €24 (approx. £20/AUS$35.50) with nearly half the tickets available to the general public at €50 or less

For the Paralympic Games (28th August – 8th September) 500,000 tickets will be available from €15 (approx. £12.50/AUS$22)

Purchasing windows with tickets assigned by lottery will be opened up at specific dates as “The lottery format is the fairest way to ensure everyone who wants one has an equal chance of getting a ticket, and to avoid overloading the platform”

In comparison to previous Games, Paris 2024 is making innovations with a lottery mechanism drawn in advance of purchase whereby those selected are allocated slots of several hours in which to make their ticket purchases. The first two waves of ticket sales for the Olympic Games will be based on this lottery format.

Registration for the lottery will open in late 2022 with the first round of lottery in February 2023 when ticket packs for multiple sessions will go on sale.

The second round will be in May 2023 when single tickets will go on sale. All remaining tickets available will go on sale at the end of 2023

Unlike previous Olympic Games, there will be one single website to buy all tickets for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games providing 100% of digital ticketing worldwide

But there is one way to get ahead of the pack with the best chances of gaining priority access to tickets through membership of the Paris 2024 Club - which has been set up for fans and supporters of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
