Sandhills Brillaire sold to USA

Craig and Sandhills Brillaire celebrate their win in Adelaide

Craig Barrett’s Australian International 3 Day Event CCI4* winning mare Sandhills Brillaire has been sold to American rider Julie Richards

The 14 year old mare helped Craig to break his 4* drought when they won their first FEI Classics CCI4* together in Adelaide in 2012 and the pair also finished third in the 4* the following year. They were one of seven combinations listed for the Australian squad for the 2014 WEG in Normandy but unfortunately had to withdraw from contention due to the mare being unwell

The homebred mare by Staccato will now be competed by Julie, who bought her sight unseen, for the Equine Olympic Investments Syndicate with a view to qualifying for Rio
