The very popular Sydney at SIEC Summer One Day Events are to be held on Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st (Midweek) and Saturday 23rd & 24th February (Weekend).

Held at the venue for the Sydney 2000 Olympic eventing, the Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC), this is one of the premier National One Day Events in Australia. Everyone wants to compete at the venue where Australia won eventing gold at the Olympic Games in 2000 and entries always fill fast.

There are classes from EVA60 (Newcomers) to CNC 2* for the Midweek event and EVA60 (Newcomers) to CNC 3* for the Weekend Event which will attract hundreds of riders, including some of Australia’s eventing stars.

Entries open today, 7th January 2013 and close 5th February, but don't leave it until the last minute as you will be disappointed.

This week of events cannot run without an army of volunteers needed for the vast array of jobs, from parking attendant, canteen staff, cross country jump judges and office assistants. There is a job for everyone, from one hour to the whole week, and no training is needed - you just need a sense of fun! Find out about volunteering here

The Committee would also love to talk to potential new sponsors for the events who could assist by increasing the prize money; to keep our elite and up and coming athletes competing here in Australia it would be great to be able to offer the financial reward they deserve Find out about sponsoring here

Entry is free and spectators are encouraged to attend. Enjoy a day out, bring a picnic and cheer on your favourite horses and riders at SIEC.
