Top ten FEI World Eventing Rankings - October 2019

      Alex Bragg and Tom McEwen are two of the big movers of the month

 

 

Britain’s Oliver Townend leads the FEI rankings once again at the end of October, but New Zealand’s Tim Price has closed the lead thanks to his win at Le Lion d’Angers riding Happy Boy and sixth place at Les Etoiles de Pau riding Ascona M.

Oliver leads on a total of 554 points while Tim is on 542 and Australia’s Chris Burton takes the third spot, moving up from fifth, with 515 points thanks to his two second placings at Les Etoiles de Pau on Quality Purdey and at Boekelo riding Clever Louis.

Britain’s Piggy French has dropped from second place to fourth (504 points) and Tom McEwen made the jump of the month, from 12th place into fifth (441 points) with his first ever CCI5* win on Toledo De Kerser at Les Etoiles de Pau and two good results at Le Mondial du Lion

The USA takes sixth and seventh places with Lauren Keiffer in sixth place (405) and Boyd Martin in seventh (394) and Michael Jung remains steady in eighth (377)

Britain’s Alexander Bragg and Australia’s Shane Rose also had a good month with their fourth and third places at Les Etoiles de Pau boosting their world rankings.

Alex moved from 24th into ninth place (353 points) and Shane has jumped from 30th into the top ten with 337 points
