Cross country video analysis - Treefers at Belsay 2019

 

When we ran our Cross Country Video Analysis competition earlier in the year, Isobel Mctaggart was one of our winners. Isobel requested a coaching analysis by Caroline Moore of her ride at Belsay Horse Trials in 2019, where she finished fifth in the BE100 Open

“I am moving up to Novice this year so it would be really helpful to get some feedback and how I can improve, especially with not being able to get to training” said Scottish-based Isobel

Isobel is riding the 20-year-old Treefers, who many will remember as the ride of Emily Parker. Emily and Treefers went through the ranks from Pony Club to (now) CCI5*, as well as winning European Young Rider team and individual gold medals in 2009 and 2010

It is wonderful to see Treefers still loving his job and fascinating to hear Caroline’s analysis of this cross country ride in the video below, with plenty of great advice that everyone can benefit from
