Dual hemisphere 4 Star rides

Andrew Hoy and Vassily De Lassos finish fifth in the CCI4* at Luhmuhlen

Take a look at the helmet cam rides of two Australian combinations one week apart in different hemispheres …..

In 2018 the multi-Olympian Andrew Hoy helped young Australian rider Callum Buczak during the Australian International 3 Day Event, where Callum and his horse Matavia Cheval finished second in the CCI3*, thanks to one of the fastest cross country rides of the day

At the 2019 Melbourne International 3 Day Event recently, Callum once again produced a fast cross country round on Matavia Cheval in the CCI4*-L as one of only two combinations to make the time, but unfortunately they picked up 11 penalties for dislodging a frangible device.

Here is their ride at MI3DE which first appeared on Callum's Facebook page and we thought it would be interesting to watch the pupil and master at work at very different events in each hemisphere!

One week later in the northern hemisphere, Andrew Hoy finished fifth in the hotly contested CCI4* German Championships at Luhmuhlen. Andrew and Vassily De Lassos produced a fast clear round to finish the event in fifth place on their dressage score and this is how they did it in Germany ….
