Vassily De Lassos - EquiRatings Horse of the Year

It's a thumbs up for Vassily De Lassos!

Over 10,000 votes from all corners of the world have made Vassily De Lassos the EquiRatings Horse of the Year 2021

Ridden for Australia by Andrew Hoy, this is the first time an Australian has ever won the award. Andrew and the 12-year-old Vassily De Lassos, owned by David and Paula Evans, have had 17 internationals together and only three times been outside the top 5.

In their brief time together, Andrew and Vassily have rocketed to the top with fifth place at their first Championship at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA followed by individual bronze and team silver at Tokyo 2020
