Virtual Eventing Trot Up - Drag Rules

We woke up this morning in Australia to find that the eventing world had gone ‘Drag-Mad’ overnight

The Virtual Eventing first horse inspection had taken place and, while it may not have been a surprise to see Spencer Sturmey looking stunningly Marilyn Monroe-like with platinum blonde wig and pink dress, watching William Fox-Pitt leading down a 20 year old Cool Mountain down the runway in a nurse’s outfit (albeit a nurse in pink tights and leather skirt) was somewhat disconcerting.

William, we applaud you for taking a risk but feel you need to have a chat with Spencer for some glamour tips, although we also worry that Spencer may have been pulled up by the FEI Stewards for unsafe footwear

However, the nurse’s outfit certainly caught the judges’ eyes and William won the Hi Ho Silver Best Dressed male prize while Gemma Tattersall’s unicorn won the ladies prize

Our favourite unicorn was Warren Lamperd’s Silvia (and Warren himself) but this pair have the fabulous Susie on their team so they do have a huge advantage and it appears that Megan Jones is once again pregnant ….

Check out Warren as the first cab off the rank in the video below at 5 minutes in, William at 14 minutes and Spencer at 22:21 but watch the whole thing too - it's a hoot!

It's all for a very good cause so hop over to the Virtual Eventing website for more details as to how you can donate and get involved
