Watching at Wallaby Hill

The cross country course at Wallaby Hill is designed by Ewan Kellett (pictured above), who is assisted by course builder Brett Ryan. Ewan fondly remembers the first time he came to look at Wallaby Hill … “I had been told by several people it was a really beautiful property but when I arrived the whole place was shrouded in fog (which I now know is a common occurrence in the Southern Highlands) and I couldn’t see any further than the end of my nose! But over the years it has been a great privilege to be involved with the guys at Wallaby Hill. They always give me time to do my job properly and I think we produce a course that is challenging enough without being over tough.”

We hope you enjoy a few video clips from cross country day at Wallaby Hill.

Brett Parbery (in video above) loved his first event, especially the cross country phase and is now keen to head of to Sydney one day event. Take a look at Brett and My Thai as they come through the water complex and then jump the last fence on the preliminary course.

Tim Boland and Umunga (above) make the CNC2* look very easy as they jump their way into third place.

Hazel Shannon and Clifford (above) jump up and over the bank in the Macarthur Urology CNC* finishing the class in third place.

We always expect Stuart Tinney to be foot perfect and you can see here in the video above, riding Annapurna over the ‘pink houses’ in the CNC*, he certainly is just that.
