Zara Tindall expecting a baby in 2018

Like many eventing mums, Zara often brings Mia to have a chat after competing - at Burghley Mia was entranced by the fluffy microphone!

British Olympic eventing rider Zara and her husband Mike Tindall have confirmed they are expecting a baby in 2018

The past year has been a big one with pregnancies in the eventing world including that of Andrew and Steffi Hoy, Tim and Jonelle Price and Jock and Tegan Paget and now 2018 is also starting with a ‘bump’

Mike and Zara, the parents of three-year-old Mia, announced a second pregnancy in 2016 but sadly Zara suffered a miscarriage late that year

The new baby is thought to be due in the summer which will rule Zara out of contention for selection as part of the British team for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA in September and it has been announced that Zara will step back from her riding until the baby is born

The Tindall family are currently in Australia where they been enjoying a family holiday over Christmas and the New Year before attending the Magic Millions horse racing carnival. Zara has been patron since 2012 of the event's Magic Millions Racing Women, an initiative promoting racehorse ownership among women, and was scheduled to play in the Celebrity Pacific Fair Magic Millions Polo on Sunday although her participation may now be restricted to joining her husband as part of the polo commentary team
