A Big Celebration

Stuart and Celebration - first 4* win at Quirindi

Canberra CCN was first up in 2019 for our team. Sir Pepper (the Wheller family) just missed a win in the CCN2*, coming a close second while Daisy was well behaved and came eighth. Dalenna Daydream (DD) unfortunately was left at home with a virus and Wasabi had a quiet run in the CCN1* after having a virus a few weeks prior.

Then we headed off to Equestriad with a full truck for Stuart and good results - all our CCI4* horses had a good run to come in 8th,10th,11th and 12th and all pulled up fabulously and ready for another event.

Quirindi was an awesome event with great Organising Committee and good going plus strong enough course in the top levels. We had very pleasing results with all CCI3* horses, DD 5th, Sir Pepper 7th, Daisy 13th BUT the best result was Elisabeth Brinton’s Celebration winning the CCI4*. Yes, we did have a ‘Celebration’ after our long trip home!

Thankfully the punishing summer weather is behind us with Equestriad and Quirindi weather examples of the summer leaving (hmm maybe not so the Sunday at Equestriad!). All our horses are going really well at home and at events with super performances at all three of their first 2019 One Day Events.

THE GREAT NEWS is that Gemma has been selected as a Reserve combination for the Australian Senior team at NZ Oceania Championships in NZ next month and John and Jane Pittard's Annapurna. This is great opportunity for them to be part of Equestrian Australia High Performance team training. Thank you, EA HP  smiley

Sydney International 3 Day Event is looming from 26th-28th April – please follow and support this event as it’s shaping up with great numbers, trade stands, tailgating parking, Riders and Owners tent PLUS the Horseland Hospitality tent.

Stuart (and Shane) were invited to ride in an entertainment section, the Six Bar, at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Our own Leporis jointly won, jumping 1.75m along-side Shane and the famous Vicki Roycroft, who is the bright age of 66! It was fun plus a great crowd.
