An Eventful Life is filming at Denman Horse Trials 2026 – order or view your full cross country videos here
Late June is not a busy time for eventing riders in Australia, with winter weather putting a hold on most competition. But Denman Horse Trials in the Hunter Valley, NSW is usually blessed with mild, dry weather and is the perfect place to enjoy a run around the lower levels at a lovely country event.
Five classes will run from EvA50 to CCN1* at Denman Pony Club grounds on 27th and 28th June 2026 with all dressage taking place on Saturday plus showjumping for the EvA65 and EvA50 classes followed on Sunday by showjumping for the CCN1*, EvA80 and 95 and cross country fun for everyone!
While not an event for watching top horses in action, we’ll still see some top riders with their young horses just starting out and getting a winter run under their belt. This year’s Adelaide Equestrian Festival CCI5* winner Oliver Barrett has several horses across the classes as do Niki Rose, Stuart and Gemma Tinney and Andrew Barnett and it’s always interesting to keep an eye out for these talented young horses who may be ones to watch in years to come.
